Preg checking two weeks ago was an adventure to say the least.
This was our first time blood drawing and about half way through got in a groove to get it done. This was one of our headaches of that day 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is one of our F1 American White ram lambs. We are breeding up to full American Whites which means we couldn’t keep him as a ram but man! He is impressive!! 😍😍😍

I doubled down yesterday and purchased 50 more ewe lambs. I think I’m in the sheep business now 😉
Endless thanks to our new farm friends Mark & Susan at @benttreefarmsok for setting our sheep operation up for success with these hardy genetics!

Today we butchered our first pig on the farm. This evening there was a rainbow over our house.
Thank you God for the sign. A sign that we did something that God has blessed. We shared in that covenant today by taking the life of our pig. I don’t take it lightly that I took the life of this pig. Instead it instills this desire to always honor our meat in this way. To take on the responsibility of its life from birth all the way to death.

Yesterday I shared one of the many great scripture

Yesterday I shared one of the many great scriptures of Matthew.

This verse has spoken to me since I left my job in August and decided to be on the farm full time with our kids. I often fall back into a scarcity mindset and feel like a victim. Upset that our lives don’t look like everyone else’s. But then I remember that that’s what it’s all about. We have chosen to live a different life from most.
•
God knows what I need and what I don’t need. Here’s your reminder to be bold enough to remember this scripture when you feel outside of society’s norms. Trust in God and he will provide.

Matthew 6: 25-34 25 “Therefore I tell you, do

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
